I have been a passionate angler and conservation advocate since my first backpacking and fly fishing trips into the California High Sierras more than four decades ago. I am an active outdoorsman and passionate fly fisherman who enjoys fly fishing throughout the United States, Canada, and the Bahamas. I compete in the American Casting Association (ACA) Fly Casting National Tournaments (USA Nationals Silver & Bronze Medal Winner) to keep my fly casting skills tuned up. I am also a certified fly casting instructor with Fly Fishers International and a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain and Fly Fishing Guide.
I earned my doctorate from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I “retired” from the corporate consulting world as a Fortune 1000 organizational psychologist specializing in qualitative and quantitative research, education and training, organizational development, team effectiveness, and leadership coaching.
Now I can provide anglers with a unique educational opportunity to improve their fly casting and overall fishing skills as an Everglades Fly Fishing Guide and casting instructor. After years of academic research and study, corporate work, and extensive business travel, I can now do what I love – Teaching Fly Fishing, Being a Fly Casting Instructor and working as an Everglades Fly Fishing Guide.
I am a strong supporter and advocate for protecting our natural resources, including the Gulf Coast, Restoring the Greater Everglades, Florida Fishery, Florida Hunting Habitat, and Catch/Release Fly Fishing.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced fly fisherman or fly fisherwoman, I have the experience, expertise, and coaching skills to help you make significant fly casting and fly fishing improvements. My wealth of professional and personal experience centered on coaching and instruction will support your development and inspire you to improve your fly casting and overall fly fishing skills while you fly fish for snook, redfish, and tarpon in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands.
